A River Called Time

In an alternate history where colonialism and the transatlantic slave trade never took hold and African cosmologies shaped the world, Markriss Denny lives in Dinium, a city split between an elite enclosed habitat and a poor outer district. He enters the enclosure through his excellence and keeps a secret: his spirit can leave his body. What he learns about another person with the same gift leads to the truth about the city. A large-scale speculative novel.
