About this book
The quaddies are a generation of people engineered by the corporation GalacTech to work in zero gravity, with four arms and no legs, and they are treated as company property. Leo Graf, an engineer sent to teach them welding at the Cay Habitat, comes to realise how they are used.
When the company decides they are obsolete and plans to dispose of them, Leo helps them to take their freedom and flee to a place of their own. A prequel to Lois McMaster Bujold's Vorkosigan Saga and winner of the Nebula Award.
