Sleeping Worlds Have No Memory

Minister Shea Ashcroft refuses a queen's order to gas a crowd of protesters and is banished to the border to oversee the largest defensive tower ever built. The tower uses technology taken from refugees, and the local powers want it to fail. After an assassination attempt Shea finds a portal to a dead world and begins to doubt what he remembers, in a blend of science fiction, fantasy and noir.
